Obesity has made the country spend billions of dollars. Obesity has become epidemic, not only adult children begin to get symptoms.
Obama administration was determined to reduce the causes of obesity in children, and find out what can be done by the people at home, school and work place to prevent this obesity epidemic.
“The number of Americans who have to struggle with her weight so that no health risk conditions associated with being overweight is still too high,” said Michelle Obama, as quoted by Reuters on Friday (29/1/2010).
Recommendations can be given to prevent obesity starts with eating more fruits and vegetables, as well as improve the quality of physical education at various schools so that children become more active.
Secretary of Health and Human Services, Kathleen Sebelius Obama revealed that the government has invested U.S. $ 650 million in health and other programs aimed at preventing obesity and quit smoking programs.
In addition, Obama also create a white building parks for the children of local schools. Given that the solution to prevent the obesity epidemic can not come from government alone, each person must be willing to engage in a campaign to avoid a crisis in public health.
