Good news for your cell phone heavy users. There was no link between mobile phone use and cancer risk.
Thus the findings of a study of brain tumors, such as the Legal lansir from Nydailynews on Monday (7/12/2009).
No relationship was between the use of cell phones and cases of cancer in adulthood. The researchers found, there was no change in high rates of cancer incidence between 1998 and 2003 compared with the two previous dekada, according to a report in the Telegraph UK.
The study headed by Dr. Isabelle Deltor from Danish Cancer Society and his colleagues are focusing research on the Danish, Finnish, Norwegian, and Swedish. The countries were selected because of high cell phone usage.
Research carried out at 59. 984 people diagnosed with a brain tumor cases among the 16 million adult population, ages 20 and 79 years starting in 1974 until 2003.
“The case of brain tumors is less well understood. Only risk factors that already exist, namely radiation cancer ions and some of the symptoms of decline, reported cases represent a small portion of brain tumors,” according to research published in Deltour Journal of the National Cancer Institute .
Study confirms the conclusion, if the risks arising from the use of regular cell phones, will need more than 5-10 years for the appearance of tumors.
According to the Telegraph, the World Health Organization (WHO) hopes to soon release the results of a long study that stated, cell phone users face a higher risk of brain tumor growth in the future.
