Telkom will acquire 75% stake in e-Health companies named AdMedika with transaction value reaches USD 100-150 billion, which was taken through the allocation of capital expenditure in 2010 is worth U.S. $ 2 billion.
AdMedika (PT Administration Medika) were acquired Telkom through its subsidiary PT Multimedia Nusantara (Metra) after the two sides signed a Conditional Sales Purchase Agreement (CSPA).
“This year, Telkom spend as much as Rp 1 trillion for the acquisition of the company,” said Director of PT Telkom Tbk, Rinaldi Firmansyah in his statement in Jakarta, Tuesday (26/1/2010).
AdMedika Telkom will acquire a foreign capital company specializing in Electronic Health Care Network. Company incorporated January 8, 2002 and was called the largest service providers in the field of e-Health.
The company has 1.2 million members by the number of subscribers to reach 26
insurance companies, and 717 hospitals, clinics, health centers, and others.
AdMedika itself a pioneer in applying online claim processing system and a Third Party Administrator (TPA) that bridge the interests of its members, insurance and health services.
Rinaldi explains, this acquisition steps performed to achieve InSure Telkom Net (Indonesia Insurance Shared Service Platform) as the embryo of e-Health program nationally.
“This acquisition is a strategic acquisition for initiatives related to Telkom Net InSure especially for the insurance sector, starting from IT infrastructure to support e-Health and the entire insurance National e-Claim,” he explained.
InSure Net is a platform of collaboration and transactions online to improve the effectiveness, productivity, and quality service insurance institutions.
In addition, InSureNet aims to realize synergies between state-owned insurance companies and health providers.
We have five state-owned insurance is involved, among others Taspen, Social Security, Askes, Jasa Raharja, and Asabri. InSureNet will be developed in stages in which is still under development with the participation data.
